Hi, I'm Robyn.

Robyn Schaefer,
CEO and Founder

Like so many others, I am a visual learner. I understand best through images and color. I am also data-driven and excel at organizing vast amounts of information.  (I have always been a right-brain/left-brain hybrid.)  Above all, I am a passionate educator who loves working with diverse kids of all ages to make learning enjoyable and meaningful.

I have been an educator for 20 years, serving in large public school districts as a classroom teacher, Reading Interventionist, MTSS Coordinator, and Instructional Support Specialist. After earning a Bachelors Degree in Radio, Television and Film from Northwestern University, I received my foundational teacher education training at San Diego State University, followed by a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Reading, and an endorsement in English as a Second Language.

The seeds for Literacy in Color were planted several years ago when I struggled to find a program or resource that met my exact instructional needs.  I have always loved creating my own resources. The power of spreadsheets, design software, AI, and a whole lot of time have finally allowed me to create my ideal curriculum.

This has been a passion project of mine for a while and am finally ready to start putting it out in the world. Hope you enjoy it! I truly appreciate your feedback and patience as I continue to build it.

Matt Miller,
Director of Client Relations

Hi, I'm Matt.

I am a people person.  With over 20 years in the hospitality industry, I strive to create exceptional guest and user experiences.

A native to Michigan, I attended University of Michigan (Go Blue!) where I majored in  economics and was a member of the University of Michigan Men's Glee Club and the esteemed Evans Scholar community. I am a connoisseur of burgers and wings, am highly skilled in parlor games, and could rival the best at a Harry Potter or Marvel trivia night.

My extensive background in restaurant management has taught me the value of fostering client satisfaction and loyalty. I have spent years managing diverse customer needs and resolving issues with grace and respect. I am looking foward to bringing these skills to this new venture.

As Literacy in Color continually enhances the program to meet the needs of educators, parents, and young users, I am here to receive your constructive feedback and answer any questions you may have.
