Interactive, Self-Correcting Spelling Practice
DESIGNED FOR TODAY'S KIDS
These original activities created by Literacy in Color are hosted on Boom Learning™, a platform for digital interactive and self-correcting practice. They promote reasoning with spelling patterns as well as critical thinking in a FUN and ENGAGING format.
Each deck contains a set of letters that can ultimately be unscrambled to make a familiar word. On their way to discovering this Mystery Word, kids manipulate the blue consonants and red vowels to make smaller words based on the clues. Decks consist of 20-30 self-correcting cards that provide immediate feedback, enabling kids to be successful and confident spellers.
In building single-syllable and multisyllabic words, students will gain a deeper understanding and make meaningful connections to each of the four types of vowel sounds taught in our sessions - short vowels, long vowels, r-controlled vowels, and vowel digraphs.
